MBayGRC Corporate Partners & Affiliations:

  • Cabrillo College, Santa Cruz, CA is one of 109 public California community colleges. Situated on the Monterey Bay in the county of Santa Cruz, California, Cabrillo serves over 13,000 students with 96 students in the associate degree nursing program.

  • California State University at Monterey Bay (CSUMB) is the newest of 23 California State University campuses located in Seaside, CA offering undergraduate and master level graduate courses to over 4,000 students.

  • Clinica de Salud del Valle Salinas (Clinica), Salinas, CA is a federally qualified health care system (HQHC) with 7 clinics in the Salinas Valley area serving 100,000 patient visits a year mainly Latino's, in particular, migrant workers and their families.

  • Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula, Monterey, CA (CHOMP) is a non-profit health care system with a 239 bed acute inpatient medical facility, behavioral health (inpatient and outpatient) comprehensive cancer, pain management, hospice, family birthing, sleep disorder and blood centers, pharmacy, rehabilitation, outpatient immunology, laboratory, imaging services.

  • Health Projects Center (HPC) Santa Cruz, CA serves as the Central Coast Area Health Education Center and is part of a statewide network of Caregiver Resource Centers that provides family assessment, respite, legal and mental health services for caregivers to frail elderly and one of five agencies in the California Preparedness Education Network (Cal-PEN) program to prepare California health professionals to rapidly and effectively respond to bio-terrorism and other public health emergencies.

  • Hartnell College, Salinas CA is one of 109 community colleges a two year associate degree colleges and serves 14,000 students with 50 nursing students in the associate degree nursing program and is home to the Regional Health Occupations Resource Center that serves 14 colleges.

  • Monterey Peninsula College
    Monterey, CA is one of 109 public California community colleges. Situated on the Monterey Peninsula in the county of Monterey, California, MPC serves over 14,000 students with 100 plus students in the associate degree nursing program. It also offers continuing education programs for older adults.

  • Natividad Medical Center (NMC), Salinas, CA is a 172-bed acute care medical center owned and operated by Monterey County Affiliated with the UCSF since 1974, it is the only academic medical center on the Central Coast and host to a nationally recognized Family Practice Residency Program.

  • UCSF School of Medicine, Family and Community Medicine Department, San Francisco, CA, annually has four family practice residency programs, one located at Natividad Medical Center in Salinas, CA, with an emphasis on meeting the needs of the medically underserved including seniors; to advance knowledge in family and community medicine; and develop methods of primary care that are effective, efficient, and accessible to all people.

  • VA Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS), Palo Alto, CA is a major tertiary care referral center with three hospital-based divisions and a network of six community based outpatient clinics. VAPAHCS provides primary, secondary and tertiary care within a large geographical region encompassing a 10 county area with 325,000 veterans. VAPAHCS' primary academic affiliation is with the Stanford University School of Medicine.

  • Northern California Geriatric Education Center is a consortium composed of the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF); the University of California, Berkeley; the University of California, Davis; and the Monterey Bay Geriatric Resource Center (MBayGRC), a community-based, non-profit consortium in the Monterey Bay region, provides education and training in geriatrics to health professionals in Northern California.
